It's true that the sound is loud and somewhat annoying, but if you can get your child potty trained, who cares?! . We had success with the same book for boys. This book showed up with a dead battery, so while the content is good, she can't make the sound to flush.

like new but i purchased new batteries and the sound did NOT work!!! like new means the sound works! and it doesn't so it should NOT be listed as "like new" and at the very least should say the sound doesn't work! extremely disappointed!

I bought this almost a year ago or more to help motivate my oldest son to go potty. It helped him not be afraid of the flushing sound and is now his favorite book as we are finally able to potty train him (lots of unrelated issues have been happening). He especially likes that he can put stickers in it for using the potty, flushing the toilet, and washing his hands.

I'd rather not clean pee off every wall and all over the toilet, so I'm not encouraging my toddler to go standing up until his penis can easily reach over the bowl without a stool, which I believe happens in the elementary years. That was the only part of this book I didn't like but it's the most relevant part of potty learning (they pee more than anything) so it's not getting a lot of use.

Ok, so the book is short & simple, and there is only one button. Alright, you say that's what you saw when purchased? But the one button is like 15 seconds long. So your kids want to constantly press it and have to wait. It's really distracting and takes forever. It's like children's claps and screams. Needs to be a simple flush. So they can keep pressing and you can move along to the next page. Not good for twins- takes forever to Read book

Purchased for my almost 2 yr old grandson. He is using the potty occasionally and loves this book.

I gave it only 4 stars because it was advertised as "used, good condition". The book itself is fine but I had to put new batteries in it - they cost more than I paid for the book (I would have purchased it NEW, but it wasn't offered).
