This lovable bookworm bunny, shares his passion for reading with a motley pirate crew! The illustrations are fun and the story is a good encouragement to little readers.

This is very similar to Roger the Jolly Pirate, in that it is about a pirate who doesn't fit in with his swashbuckling pals. In this story, the protagonist is Henry, a young bunny who is too well read to meet his sea captain father's expectations of a solid pirate. He saves the day in his own way.

My 3.5 year old loves this book and we read it almost nightly. It's got good illustrations and several characters for me to do pirate voices. I highly suggest this book for toddlers.

It's a cute story about pirate bunnies who don't like to read, but one bunny likes to read and learns how to do many things the bunnies will need to know when their ship falls apart. In the end, the bunnies learn the importance of reading and now always make a stop at the library to read. My daughter who is a kindergartner got this book from the library and loved it! I also enjoyed the story and artwork!

cute, perfect for literacy night
This is a wonderfully well written and illustrated book, with a great story line. My son has loved this for years and we still love to read it. It was really nice to finally find a pirate book that was approproiate for younger readers. Not only is this about pirates, but teaches children about the invaluable treasure to be found in books!
