Indestructibles are books built for the way babies read : with their hands and mouths

Here is a book babies can really sink their gums into. Built for the way babies read, Indestructibles are printed on an amazing paperlike material that can’t be ripped, torn, or punctured. Indestructibles are 100 percent safe and nontoxic, and if they get too funky, just throw them in the washing machine or dishwasher. They’re made for baby to hold, grab, chew, pull, and bend, and are designed to create an even more special bond between reader and baby. Printed without words, the parent gets to make up the story, or just cuddle with baby while they explore together. Mama and Baby! is about mothers and babies of different species. Kaaren Pixton’s art is bright, swirling with color, and reminiscent of Eric Carle, and it attains an almost 3D richness on the special paperlike stock of the book.

My 10-month-old says: "This book was really tasty-- with notes of non-toxic ink and sunshine. I especially enjoyed not gagging on chunks of cardboard, then having to clamp my jaw shut while my mommy shrieks "What are you eating?!? We don't eat books!"

I did not, however, like that I was unable to destroy the pages-- though I tried all day long. I just love the sound of paper tearing and crumpling so much I could scream. So I did. Then I saw something sparkly and... what was I saying? Oh, the book... mmm yummy book..."

Mommy says: Adorable. Can't be destroyed. Keeps him occupied so I can maybe drink my coffee hot for once... yep, this is a keeper! Can't wait to order some more!

I just love this book! I have purchased it a few times now, along with Plip Plop Pond to give as baby shower gifts. The book that I originally bought for my now 4 year old is in great condition because the book is truly indestructible (by a baby/toddler)! I sometimes toss it into the diaper bag to bring along with on trips and it is nice because it is so thin and bendable--it just tucks into a travel bag so easily.

I adore these Indestructibles books, especially those by Pixton. Babies and toddlers can explore them with mouth, fingers and eyes - they way they want to explore all their world! Truly, these do NOT rip or come apart. Most have no words, which means each book is like a dozen in one, as you can change what it's about. Discuss color, animal sounds, make up a story, play I Spy... My kids have been happy just staring at the bright, colorful images on their own (which is really handy when you need 10 minutes to get a shower). They are a must have for any baby/toddler library. Get them. Get more for expectant/new parents.

After a playdate at a friends house, I noticed my daughter was drawn to the colorful illustrations on the pages of this book. At first, I took the book from her to keep it from getting messed up, but I looked closer and noticed that it was "indestructible" and let her have at it! She enjoyed playing with it and looking at the gorgeous colors so much, I immediately got online to order her a copy for her own. We keep this one in the car and she loves to turn the pages, chew on it, and dance with it while in the car. All kids books should be this durable!

At first i was disappointed with this book because i was hoping it has many pages and a lot to read from it. But when i gave it to my baby, i notice she was chewing on it and trying to tear it, but its not getting destroyed, i took the book and examined it. ,I was like wow that is cool! Now its my favorite book to give to her because i dont have to worry about it getting destroyed. Sometimes i read to her by making up stories based on the pictures in the book. I highly recommend this product great for babies!

I was referred to this series of books after complaining that my daughter loved to make books her new snack of choice. When this first arrived, I thought the package was empty. It was not what I expected at all. It's a very, very thin book with magazine/paper like pages that are reinforced. There are about 6 or so pages. I do like that these don't have words so I can make up a story as I please. Overall my 8 month old daughter loved this book and crumples and chews on it as she pleases with no destruction.

I cannot express how much I love these indestructible books! My 9 month old loves to read (and eat) books. With these I don't have to worry because he can't hurt them. Yes when you wrinkle them they will have some visible crinkles but i nevet expected them to look perfect after he plays with them. These are his favorite books are he loves pointing at each animal and color. I highly recommend them.
My nanny introduced me to the Indestructibles series. Chew proof, tear proof, and virtually, well, indestructible. The images in this particular book are beautiful. While there are no words, each image captures a moment and I felt it was age appropriate. Much better for baby hands than even board books.
