I don't find that this is an appropriate children's book. It has a lot of meanness/teaching and girl/boy rivalries. Once I started reading it to my kindergarten class, I wished I would have previewed it first and I never would have read it aloud to them.

My kids are all grown up now, but Marc Brown and the Arthur series were some of our favorites! They were always requested by my kids and later I kept them on hand for when Grandchildren visited. I love them too!

I give every Arthur book 5 stars. These are the first books my daughter really started showing interest in a reading by herself. (just over a year old) She loves reading, but now she's almost 2 and still loves them. She knows them by title and sits through the entire book, sometimes several of them at once. She knows all the characters. They aren't exactly learning books, but they are still really good for kids, in my opinion! Teaches them good life lessons. =)

I like the book because Arthur has to go to camp with his friends but he doesn't like it he feels homesick and grossed out but that's not how it ends. I really enjoy the Arthur series and this is one of the good books. I hope others enjoy it as well. I will recommend this to all my friends
