Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish-a whole series of wonderful books about a funny maid. This new series still has the mixed up character we love, but when she was younger. I love the illustrations and all the chaos Amelia Bedelia throws herself into. So be careful of what you say. Asking her to "draw the drapes" or "steal home base" can have hilarious unintentional consequences!

This was purchased as a teacher's gift for a teacher who has a library in her own classroom. This lady loved books so much that I thought her first grade class would enjoy having this in their collection. I purchased a few, tied them together and she was so greatful, considering she bought most of the books she owns herself. It was a win-win. My daughter got to read more, and she saved money!

I did ask her which books she did NOT have but wanted. I didn't want duplicates and wanted her to have stuff off her wishlist. :)

My granddaughter loves Amelia Bedlia! She loves the silliness of it all. At 7, she has a great sense of humor. These books are perfect and somehow, even though Amelia messes everything up, it all turns out well in the end.
