I think the Not Just Anybody Family by Betsy Byars is a good book to read. It made me think about family and how important family is.

The Not-Just-Anybody Family (A Blossom Family Book) Paperback – February 20, 2008. by. Betsy Byars (Author). I think the Not Just Anybody Family by Betsy Byars is a good book to read. I loved learning about the characters.

It tells of an age gone by and of a family, who despite not having much in the way of money, has a lot of love

We learned a lot about Jewish holidays and just really enjoyed laughing and crying with this family. It tells of an age gone by and of a family, who despite not having much in the way of money, has a lot of love. This book makes you wish for simpler times when family was more important than anything and they stuck together. Where simple things mean happiness.

Not-just-any novel, Byars's latest races without pause between hilarious, suspenseful and touching crises. Rogers's drawings are fine but almost unneeded; every scene is vividly described from the moment Maggie and Vern await their little brother Junior's flight from the barn on his handmade wings. Hearing a police car near their isolated rural home, the older children scamper; Junior falls, breaks his leg, and the cops take him to the hospital in town.

The book was as advertized and was delivered in a timely manner. Our children enjoyed having this book read to them years ago, our granddaughter is old enough to read "chapter books" and thought she'd enjoy this one. When given this copy, our granddaughter seemed to be interested in reading it. A win, win for both of us!!!

Love this book. The situation is so over the top silly, and yet feels like it could happen.

This book was fun and even as an adult, I was able to enjoy it. The way this is written reminded me of the children's novels I used to red as a youngster.

The characters are enjoyable and lively and of the variety that make you laugh as you grow to love them. I particularly enjoyed the humor strewn throughout this book. Betsy Byars has a brilliant grasp on how to write a story for her intended age group.

I find it more and more difficult to locate books that are appropriate for younger children while still offering them entertainment and this does just that.

I liked the plot and thought the story progressed at an even pace with excitement thrown in at the perfect times. The conversations between the characters were often funny and had a very nice quality, making me feel like I was amongst them.

If you are looking for a book for your child or grandchild this would be a wonderful choice.
