The book was created with the intent to be read on the one-hundredth day of school, and incorporates math representations and combinations of things that equal one hundred. The books includes addition, the use of money and counting, which are all things student’s are starting to use at a young age. In a lot of elementary classrooms the teacher has student’s keep track of the calendar, time, and money, et. so this would be a fun book to read during that calendar time.

Trudy has done something with her book "100 Days of School" that I haven't seen for a while

Trudy has done something with her book "100 Days of School" that I haven't seen for a while. She has created a color book, a counting book, a math book, a rhyming book, and, of course, a fun book all in one. That takes talent, and a lot of it, to combine these four types of books without making the work so busy that the child loses interest. The reader doesn't even become aware that he/she's being taught. That's the true art of children's writing. Beth Griffis Johnson does wonderfully with the illustrations. She has given the book a zesty, almost celebration look. And there's plenty to look at after the text has been read.

This book captured my students' attention as I read yet another book about the 100th day of school. It was simple and students asked that it be read to them again. That's the best review a book can get.

My grandson absolutely loved this book. I have a tradition of sending a book to celebrate each of my grand children's hundredth day of school
This is the seventh book that I've sent.

I think this book could be a favorite for your children. I bought it for my future grandchildren . . . whenever that's going to be...
This is a great book for kinder to second grade. It has it all - math, rhyming, colorful pictures and it's just plain fun.
