This book is a biography of the life of Thurgood Marshall. This picture book is a biography on Thurgood Marshall. This book tells about his life and what he believed in. It discusses how he became the first African American that served as a judge on the United States Supreme Court. I think the big idea of this book is success and determination. I liked this book for two particular reasons. The first reason I liked this book was because it included illustrations so that the reader could connect to the story. He tells about his fight dealing with segregation. This would be a great book to read in history and to talk about segregation. PaigeCostella, November 21, 2011.
