Bloodhammer

My six month old son loves this book & has loved it since we bought it when he was three months old. He is not so interested in touching the animals' fur but he enjoys looking at the pictures and listening to the sounds each animal makes. I can't wait until he figures out how to push the buttons and control the sound himself (I imagine I will hear constant barking and meowing from then on). This is one of the only books he truly enjoys "reading" and can sustain his attention for more than 3 minutes. He also like "Duckling & Friends" and it is a shame there aren't any more books in the series for purchase on Amazon.

JoJoshura

My 1 year old son LOVES this book. I gave it to him and he immediately started pushing the buttons with a huge smile on his face. He is entertained for quite a while and it is good to distract him from mischief which is often very useful.

My only criticisms are that the sounds are a little sharp and that the touch-and-feel parts are fairly repetitive. All four are furry including the bird instead of having something else on the page be touchable like a toy. Otherwise this is an excellent book for the younger set.

Keramar

Theoretically this book looks like a good one, but when we opened the package and tried to press the animal sounds buttons, none of them worked. I thought perhaps I misunderstood when I ordered and the book needed a AAA battery, but when I dug out the eyeglass screwdriver for the tiny screw, it had 3 watch/electronics batteries that aren't worth the time or cost to search out for replacement. Disappointing and I'm unlikely to reorder once I return it.

Banal

I love that this has animal sounds and fur, so baby can learn multiple things at once! We got this for my son when he was 9 months old and at 15 months, he still loves it. It is a great idea to combine the great pictures, the tactile aspect, and the sound.

That being said, I could not give it 4 stars because the sounds are just so weird. The guinea pig and the parrot are so strange sounding, not what I would call realistic by a long shot. That is my only complaint, though!

Hellblade

This is a cute book with generous cut outs for textures compared to some other books. However, the parrot noise is so strange. I'm not an expert in parrot vocalizations but I cannot mimic the way it sounds or say "what does the parrot say?" to my daughter because the sound is so odd.

Nakora

My 6 mo. old loves dogs. The first time I got this book out and pressed the dog sound, she just laughed and laughed. She enjoyed the other animals as well. We've had it about a month now and she is now starting to reach and feel the "touch" spots on the animals. We also have the Ducklings Touch, Feel and Listen book which she likes a lot as well, but this one is definitely her favorite. I would recommend this book to anyone with a baby who has an interest in animals.

Vobei

I bought this book as I already had the other one with a duck on the front, and my granddaughter now approaching two, just loves it. Now she is enjoying this book as well. She got the routine down right away, where you touch the round spot which feels like the animal's skin and then we would press the sound button and turn the page.
She would howl with delight sometimes. She is now able to press the sound buttons herself. I would have to say these books are her favorites when she comes to visit.
This was money well spent, and I would recommend this book to anyone who
is looking for something more in a children's book to hold their attention just a little longer.

I got this book when my daughter was 6 months old and she loved it! The sounds and the touch and feel are great attention-getters. Every kid that comes over loves it too! It seems that if they are much over 1 year old, they don't enjoy it quite as much. It is also very sturdy and has really held up well - even through all the play with it.
