This book, along with the other chunky farm books, is a great book (in theory) for toddlers. It is short enough to keep your child's attention span. And the outside of the book is in the shape of an animal and can be easily handled by little fingers. My daughter loved to line up all her chunky books on her shelf and play with them like they were toys. I loved this book so much that I bought the whole set. However, my enthusiasm was quickly tarnished after the binding came apart on three of them.

my daughter loves these books but they fall apart SO easily. I glued them back together more than once but then realized it was a lost cause. they just kept falling apart over and over. it's a shame because they are super cute books. we had around 10 of them and I threw all of them out. if you can deal with the hassle of keeping them separate or put away so your child never gets them without supervision, it might be worth buying them.

Not for toddlers and under who tend to overbend pages, the ribbing pulled off some of the thick pages. Easy to fix with super glue but a pain to watch for. I really love the Chunky Farm books!

This is a cute board book but less sturdy than some we've purchased. The nose came off the cow right away, but we were able to glue it back. Our twins adore the size, shape, and colors as well as the concept. Print is small inside.

The story is simple and cute- It only has a few words so reading it to my 2 year old is quick and painless and he is quite entertained by both the dimensions of the book and the quick story (basically an counting book). But... because the book is soo chunky the binding on it came apart after 3 weeks. The binding did not hold up to my 2 year old trying to look at the book on his own.

We love this book! It is just darling! Inside, it is a typical animal counting book with very cute pictures and the requisite repetitive question phrase, "Who can I see?" in this one, that makes these books so familiar, comforting, and reassuring to toddlers. The answer on the last page is dumb and not much of an ending, they didn't put much thought into the story line, but the "play-ability" of the design, in my opinion, more than makes up for it. We are planning on ordering the sheep next.

My son is nearly 11 months, and this book has been one of his favorites for months. The thick, heavy "pages" are so easy to turn, (easier than a board book) and my baby has a blast flipping back and forth through the book. The story is very adorable although my son isn't quite old enough yet to appreciate it. This is a winner for babies 6 months and up. I'm off to buy a few more of Emily Bolam's "Chunky" books now!

Much smaller than I was expecting, but is cute.
Didn't stay together.
