The book is a classic and was a required book for my teen to read for school. I would recommend the book was received in great condition.

While many have tried, no one has come close to matching author Jack London’s ability to portray the wild, untamed Yukon. If you’ve never read Jack London before, Call of the Wild is a good place to get your first taste of an author who knows how to take nature and those who would vainly try to tame it, and portray it in a way that makes you feel the bite of the wind-blown snow and the oppressive weight of the darkness. that surrounds a campfire at night.

It would be best called a comic book version of Call of the Wild. The writing of Jack London is as excellent as promised. I am generally a pacifistic person so the brutality of the story was sometimes hard for me to take. My children really like Raina Telgemeier's graphic novels and I was hoping to get them some classic books similar to hers but this is thin, and the font does not fit in well with the drawing. Not to belittle what I am sure was a sincere effort, but it comes off as amateurish. The harshness of the Yukon in that era of the goldrush seemed to be accurately presented.

Great book as are all of Jack London's.
The advertising that it's large print is misleading.
