The recipes are wonderful and I have used many to earn hundreds for my cause!

I have many cookbooks but this one has one recipe after another that are

simply delicious. It is great that I can assemble a chicken dish or ribs

or a pie and make it the next day. My friends are always amazed.

I received this book several years ago through work, and I just finally got around to trying it out. I tried the recipe for Halloween Candy Cookies, and it was severely flawed. First, the type in the book is so tiny that it's very hard to read the fractions. Second, the directions said to "beat the butter, shortening, and sugar until light." Too bad there was no shortening in the list of ingredients. I don't know if it was left out, or if the mention in the directions was incorrect. And finally, the cookies were bland and the candy corn I used (one of the suggested substitutions for orange candy slices) melted inside the cookies and bled out the sides, so that each cookie had indistinguishable orangey blobs inside and pools of flattened orange candy sticking out the sides.

This book has some great pictures and a few recipes I would use but overall not quite as awesome as expected.

do not buy this book if you don't live in the us. too many ingredients are not available in europe or only in special stores and for a high price. plus these are no lastminute things! heavy on the stomach, there are better books.
