Heather Graham keeps up her paranormal mysteries with this book. If you haven't read her previous books that have people from Harrison Investigations, you might get a little confused when characters are brought in. Overall, this is a nice quick read mystery that ties our world to the world beyond.

Joe wondered if there was an agency in the city that looked into situations like this. It would mean a lot of red tape, he was certain. Still, it was worth checking into, he decided as at a premium in New York, that was a given. But he knew there were laws to protect tenants against these kinds of situations. But since most of the inhabitants were either in the country illegally or made their living in a doubtful manner, he doubted their complaints drew much response, if they even dared to make them. Still, Heidi Arundsen was a good hostess.

Sacred Evil: Book 3 in Krewe of Hunters series. The Dead Room - Heather Graham. The light was blinding. For a moment it seemed as if nothing had existed before it, as if nothing could be greater than rising to meet it. It seemed to reach out with a sweet, alluring warmth. At the source there seemed to be beckoning shadows, but though Leslie MacIntyre could see nothing clearly, they seemed to offer comfort, as well, as if they were waiting to welcome her, to enfold her into their loving arms.

This book is very suspenseful. It keeps you in the dark. There are so many suspects and they all seem to be guilty. You try and try to figure out who the culprit is; but then you are surprised. It's a great story. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do, every time I read it. If you enjoy the paranormal, you'll enjoy this book also.

Though the story is one of Heather Graham's best, this abridged audio version leaves much to be desired. Chapter changes are not noted, making it difficult for the listener to pick up where they left off. Joyce Bean's telling of the story, while pleasant to the ear, lacks adequate distinction between characters, and listeners may find themselves wondering who's doing the speaking, and being pulled from the story because of it. That said, with restless spirits, a handsome private investigator, and a dead fiancé who visits Leslie in erotic dreams, Ms. Graham has written a thrilling 3 1/2 star murder mystery with an unconventional romance that is sure to please fans of ghostly whodunits.

Everytime this author gets better & better. I got so involved with her stories, that I don't want to stop reading, even loosing sleep, so I can continue reading. I feel sometimes that I'm part of the plot. That, for me is a goog, no an excellent writer. Highly recommended, all her books.
