While writing my cowboy books for Harlequin American Romance, I occasionally stumble across information about women’s rough-stock events, but usually never pay much attention to the details. After all, the average American woman has little in common with a female bull rider-right? Wrong.

Marin Thomas has done it again! The characters may be new, but the community is the same and the tale adds to the story of romance and Cowboys.
Rainbearer
I find it odd that I don't like Westerns but I do seem to enjoy reading other fiction that's set in the world of ranches and rodeos.

The book I read contained two books with this being the second of the two. I could not find the compilation book in the archives here.

The book deals with a girl traveling to Arizona to help her estranged father run his rodeo business while he has cancer treatment in Phoenix. Unfortunately, his ranch manager expected to be handed the reins to the rodeo business. Surprised at being asked to help the daughter, he wavers between wanting her to fail so that her father will turn to him and wanting to help her because his livelihood is also tied up in the ranch and the rodeos. He doesn't count on falling in love with her in the process.

I took a while to get into this book. It didn't grab me right from the beginning like the previous one did. I think when it got more to the rodeo portion and having the girls bull riding event that I got more interested in it. As with the first book, I wish there hadn't been sex scenes between Rachel and Clint. I liked Clint's daughter Lauren once she started working with Rachel and the rodeo girls.
