Come take a trip through time in this book Dissolve by Jonathan Luckett. Close your eyes and imagine a smoky lounge, mellow jazz playing in the background and a cool breeze floating by drawing your attention to the most beautiful creature you ever saw. Meet David Sands, a painter, who just moved into a nice lofty brownstone. As he gazes out the window he sees a vision of loveliness. It is a cool summer night and he sits watching shadows playing tricks with his eyes; a goddess so to speak entices him to sit every night at the same window hoping to get another look. But after a visit from the mystery woman she vanishes and he is on the hunt looking for love in all the wrong places.

Nona is a married woman who is very much in love with her husband, but realizes that maybe she married the wrong man. Malik is a jealous, controlling, over-bearing husband, who wishes to keep his wife locked away at home. Nona wants to be a free spirit, in charge of her life, and to model. With captivating good looks and a beautiful body, she is desired by all and her husband is not too happy about that.

David watches Nona from across the courtyard, when she suddenly disappears only to appear at his front door. Surprised and happy to have her so close they engage in unbridled sex and David is swept off his feet. He has to have Nona in his life or he will die.

Dissolve is a love story, mystery novel, and erotica all rolled up into one hell of a book. I could not put it down. The descriptions and details were so vivid I felt like I was a character in the book. This was a well-told story, and I recommend this book to anyone who loves a great story with a twist of an ending.

I was immediately caught in the story, though at the beginning I had a hard time with David Sands falling for this mysterious woman he spies through a window. When I read the back of the cover, I expected more of an intense mystery but found it more of a suspenseful emotional journey and erotic romance. Still I was captivated by the characters and truly wanted to know how things were going to end. As for my reservations regarding David falling so deeply for the woman so quickly; well let me put it this way, the ending answered all my questions and quashed all my doubts.

This book keeps your interest. I found myself not wanting to put it down, so I could find out 'what happened'.

The author, Mr. Luckett did a wonderful job of developing his characters. I am sure many of us in our everyday lives know people like Nona, Angelique, Chantal, Malik, and Brehan.

Mr. Luckett brings reality and fantasy suprisingly close in this erotic thriller.

I highly recommend it!!

Dissolve is a novel penned by Jonathan Luckett, describing the relationship between an artist and a stranger that might or might not exist.

David Sands, a painter that moves into what he considers the perfect Brooklyn brownstone. One night after getting settled, Sands is up painting and notices

a figure in the window across the street. This figure is swaying to music that he cannot hear but is never the less mesmerized by her movements. Shortly after he continues to stare at the figure, there is knock on his door. Upon opening the door he discovers that it is the sensual being from across the street. She enters and they proceed to have the most incredible and passionate night of David's life.

Nona Scott-Taylor is a stay at home wife that is creatively and sexually unfulfilled. In an attempt to have a fulfilling life, Nona uses her friend Chantel as a cover to go to art shows and to create a life that is totally opposite of the one that she actually lives. Nona's husband Malik is a jealous man that wants his wife sitting at home waiting around for him. Unbeknownst to him, Nona is out creating an exotic life in the art industry with an artist that she is overwhelmingly attracted to.

This novel starts out as the everyday man sees woman and man wants women type of read. However, by chapter three, the reader is totally hooked, trying to figure out who this mystery woman is. Mr. Luckett's style of writing for this book was a refreshing phenomenon that should be read by the masses.
