Home in Time for Christmas. It was during those hard times that Heather Graham found the source of her imaginative novels. Her time as a vocal artist, bartender and a performer at dinner theatres helped her get the material for her successful novels. Hardcover Paperback Kindle. As she was a writer by heart, she felt that her career in the theatre business will take her nowhere so she decided to shift course. She left the theatre, gave up singing and bartending, came home and started to write her first novel. Graham’s experience in the theatre business helped her create her first novel.

When she rescues a man claiming to be a patriot soldier, sentenced to death by British authorities, Melody Tarleton takes the stranger to her parent's house where a little Christmas magic, some enchanted petals and ancient potions take them on an unimaginable adventure. (Romance). Simultaneous.

I'm not a Heather Graham fan but I did like this one very much. I actually bought and sent it for Christmas presents. This is a fun book to read before the holidays and not just for Christians..

Sweet love story. For those who were fans of the tv show in the past "Quantum Leap", or the present day show "Timeless". It is a story about discovering who you are and making the best of where you are.

Like a lot of Christmas romances, the author you love may have written a story that is not typical of her style. This falls into that category. If you love Heather Graham for her great tales of passion, this isn't one of them. It is definitely G rated.

Melody Tarleton is driving home for Christmas when a man dressed as a Revolutionary War soldier appears out of nowhere, in front of her car. She takes the injured stranger home to her family where he tells her he is a Patriot soldier executed by British authorities. (His sister sent him into the future to escape being hanged as a spy.) So as not to alarm her parents, Melody comes up with a ruse for the unexpected holiday guest with strange clothes. Mark, her close friend who would like to be more, is skeptical, but her family is fascinated. So is Melody. Jake is passionate, charming and unlike anyone she's ever met.

I've read (and reviewed) many Heather Graham (aka Shannon Drake) romances and generally rate her 5 star but found this one disappointing. First, it was hard to like Melody at times and I don't think we ever got a description of her (hair and eye color?). The hero, Jake, was on the other hand quite likable, though we could have used a better description of him. Their romance comes on a bit suddenly and I didn't find it very convincing. The parts where Graham talked about tolerance seemed preachy and repetitive (Melody's mother has Wiccan friends), and though Graham writes excellent dialog, I found these conversations somewhat strung out. (I skipped some to get to the next phase of the story, which is never a good sign.)

I'm giving it 3 stars as an entertaining Christmas read but I am not raving about it and frankly, Graham has better romances out there (see my other reviews and lists).

I purchased this book when it came out in hard back, and Amazon was nice enough to notify me it was available in ebook Christmas a year ago. Guess what, I enjoyed it so much, and it was a great deal, so I bought it again, as I'd given the book to a friend...and haven't seen it since.

I read it again last year, and this past Christmas...I read it again. It was a quick and sweet read. I definitely recommend.

A student is returning home to be with her parents and family for the Christmas holidays. Suddenly she feels sure that she hit someone or something which upon closer inspection was a stranger on the icy road on which she was driving. She indeed finds a man dressed in Revolutionary war clothes. It's hard for her to believe even though he insists he is not injured and that he is authentic in his era time clothes. Feeling he might have medical needs from the accident (or is a lunatic) she takes him home with her; however, she needs an explanation for her family as to the reason she brings home an unannounced stranger dressed in clothes representing the era of the Revolutionary war. She congers up a story that they met at college and he is a historian who dresses up and gives people tours of Boston. As I continued to read the book I found myself flowing with the writer's development of the story.

This was a book read for my group and some of the participants admitted to not reading the entire book as they said they were turned off in the beginning of the book. Others found the book to be an easy read and enjoyed it to the end. I found the book to be well developed for my interest, researched enough to represent the Boston area and era, and I could hardly put it down from the beginning to the finish of the read. I plan to read more of her books.

Time travel always interests me. And this story throws in the Revolutionary War and Christmas. It is light and fun.

Exciting "time travel" tale with wonderful, quirky characters. True love wins out, of course, it is Christmas time after all. Lots of twists and turns, good moral lessons for us all. It teaches tolerance and kindness, albeit painlessly, to accept everyone's belief systems. It is, after all, the very reason our ancestors left the "mother country" fleeing to the "new world". Peace on earth to men of good will.
Not what I am used to from Heather Graham but I loved it! Heather just proves how talented she is by creating this magic journey that I enjoyed taking! Hope she does more like this!
