Most of them would never have a London Season. Including, Miranda thought with a wisp of sadness, the belle of tonight’s ball. Miranda’s gaze rested on her daughter.

d to be the center of attention. So it was puzzling for Sophie that she didn’t feel particularly exhilarated as the evening approached. Even after she was dressed in her white lace ball gown, with her mother’s pearls at her throat and a charming ostrich-feather fan-a gift from Rye-in her hand, she didn’t feel as if it was real. She wandered down to the ballroom

In her previous book, THE MISTRESS' HOUSE, Ms. Michaels wrote three separate but related novellas. Here, she has interwoven the three tales. In this era of straight-line stories, Just One Season in London is unusual in using multiple heroes and heroines, all of whose stories are of equal importance. In Ms. Michaels's deft hands, this means three times the fun. I like the way she intertwines scenes, showing each first from one main character's perspective, and then another's and another's.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There was nothing not to like. I noticed the one star review stating there were too many main characters, and I suppose it's good I knew to expect that before getting into the book. But the writing is excellent and the story naturally flows between the three romances. It was fun to pretty much know right away who the mom and brother would end up marrying, but Sophie keeps the reader guessing for a little while. This is a book for nice, light reading with lovely characters, supportive family and friends and three happy endings. Sigh....

What a charming frothy classic Regency. Georgette Heyer plus some sex. This is a good way to spend an evening. I loved “The Mistress House” and this story was every bit as entertaining.

I don't normally read Romance novels, but this was a fun and light read. The plot revolves around three members of the same family determined to use a strategic marriage to rescue each other from financial dire straits. Some nicely done but quite explicit sex scenes, which despite the cover, I wasn't expecting.

I've never read a Leigh Michales book, but this one definitely has me searching for others! I enjoyed the three stories that were woven together tremendously, and it's always a plus when authors remember love isn't just for the young, but can be just as thrilling for the young at heart.

Just One Season in London is a well-written witty historical. I loved the rich characters and was glued to the pages eager to see what would happen next.

I like this book. The author is juggling three love lines and does it pretty good. The only thing was that it's too predictable.

I enjoyed reading this novel, loved the three love stories. I only gave it four stars versus five becasue I felt the love stories were wrapped up very quickly, especially Sophia's story. Sophia's story could have used a little more lust and lead in...
I started reading romance 10 years ago when I was fighting a rare cancer. I needed "happy endings" and found romance novels did not disappoint.
