All he was looking for was some peace and quiet. Instead, what ex-FBI agent Luke Grayson finds in the secluded cabin in the woods is a gorgeous, smoky-eyed woman…who just happens to be pointing a gun in his direction.

Dr. Catherine Stewart is relieved that the handsome stranger she encounters is not a dangerous intruder. But how is she supposed to relax in her woodsy hideaway with stubborn, intense, brooding Luke around? A woman could get into a lot of trouble with a man like that―and trouble is exactly what each of these two lost souls came here to avoid…

The book started out slow- yet it was not to the point of me stopping. Luke and Catherine were a good match. The back story was interesting as well. The mystery was not as difficult to figure out. A Psychologist and a World Class Tracker and former FBI agent should have figured this out faster.. Maybe you will disagree with this assessment. This was my complaint with this book. Otherwise, this was a good story. What is the obsession with mixed-race characters. Why aren't folks just be black, white, Asian, Italian, or just characters. Why do we need to deal with Race so much? Just plain old regular folks..

As always, Ms. Ray delivers characters whose passion, pain and uncertainty you can feel and appreciate. This was a wonderful follow up to "Break Every Rule" and I love the way Ms. Ray keeps the interaction of family and friends in the Taggart/Falcon/Grayson series going.

Luke and Catherine were wonderful together and their realization of how much they meant to each other was touching and sexy. Although their intimate times together seemed quick -- they were heartfelt and tender.

I'd like to be able to savor at least two or three pages of each episode of simmering passion between the characters, as opposed to only two or three paragraphs, especially since it usually takes them so long to come together. Nevertheless, I'm a huge fan of Ms. Ray and will continue to read anything her talented mind creates. Much respect!

I HAVE READ EVERY BOOK THAT MS. RAY HAS WRITTEN AND FIND THAT THIS ONE LACKS WHAT GOT HER MY HIGHEST RATING "DIVA OF ROMANCE WRITING." I FELT THE BOOK LACKED CREDITIBILITY BECAUSE WHAT GROWN BEHIND MAN WOULD LET HIS MOM DICTATE WHEN AND WHO HE SHOULD MARRY? I HAVEN'T EVEN FINISHED THE BOOK, WHICH IN ITSELF IS NOT TYPICAL OF ANY BOOKS BY FRANCIS RAY. I WORK TWO JOBS AND USUALLY FINISH HER BOOKS IN TWO NIGHTS. I'M ON THE FOURTH NIGHT AND AM TURNING THE PAGES LAKADASICALLY; NOT REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO READING WHAT'S NEXT. I FEEL THAT MS. RAY'S CHARACTERS DO NOT SHARE THE UMP! THAT KANE AND VICTORIA, MAT AND SHANNON, DANIEL AND ADDY AND DOMINIQUE AND TRENT HAD. I SUGGEST SHE LEAVE THE MYSTERY WRITING TO THOSE THAT DO IT BEST AND GIVE US THE ROMANCE THAT SHE HAS SET HEARTS AND SOULS ON FIRE WITH. THE BEST PART I FIND THUS FAR IS THE ENTRANCE OF NAOMI AND HER DAUGHTER AND THE POSSIBLE ROMANCE BETWEEN DR. YOUNGBLOOD AND NAOMI; THE ONLY REDEEMING QUALITY FOR THIS ONE.
I SINCERELY HOPE MS. RAY'S NEXT ATTEMPT WILL FIND HER BACK ON THE "TRIED BUT TRUE," BEATEN PATH OF GET DOWN DIRTY ROMANCE.
I SEE THE READER BELOW GIVES THIS THE HIGHEST RATING, BUT I CAN'T AGREE, BASED ON WHAT I'VE READ BEFORE THIS. MAYBE THE SURPRISE ENDING WILL HOLD SOMETHING BETTER.
A VERY DISAPPOINTED FAN!!

The books in this series are very good. The Grayson's are an interesting family. Until there was you is a well balanced, emotion filled at times intense read. The book is filled with high drama and just enough twists and turns to keep you interested. I read this book in one day!

I know Mrs. Francis Ray is no longer with us but this first book of the Grayson Family is still one of my favorites. I would love to have seen her do Dakota Rodriguez story. He seems to be tied to every one of the Grayson stories one way or another. To me he is definitely a Friend of the family if not an honorary family member. I was hoping Mrs. Ray's daughter would pick up where she left off. Just a thought. I could read any book by Mrs. Ray a million times and never tire if her stories.

I HAVE THIS BOOK IN HARDBACK. I WAS SO HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO GET IT FOR MY KINDLE. THE PRICE MADE IT A MUST HAVE. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT LUKE AND CATHERINE. LUKE WAS DETERMINE TO GET AWAY FROM HIS MOTHER AND RAN RIGHT INTO CATHERINE'S ARMS. ON THE ORIGINAL BOOK COVER LUKE'S HAIR WAS A REAL TURN ON. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GET ALL THE GRAYSONS ON MY KINDLE. MRS RAY MAKES HER CHARACTERS SO REAL THAT I JUST FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM. THANKS MRS. RAY

She was one of my favorite authors. I am sorry that she did not have a chance to finish the Grayson series. I own everything that she has ever written and love this book just like the rest. Distinguished and excellent story teller.
Reading this novel completes the Grayson series for me. The characters were fun but to me the plot got kinda boring here and there. I like the chemistry between Luke and Catherine, and the way the author (Ms. Ray) describes the mountains of New Mexico hey I wanna go.
