The original book is printed faintly.

Human-alien encounters, Science fiction, Short stories. New York, NY : DAW Books. The original book is printed faintly.

The Conspiracy Files book. While I usually enjoy Martin Greenberg's anthologies, since there's always a few gems in every collection, this book lacked any memorable tales. Most were fairly uninspired stories that either had major plot holes or were confusingly dense. Not the worst book I've ever read, but still pretty forgetable.

Martin Harry Greenberg (March 1, 1941 – June 25, 2011) was an American academic and speculative fiction anthologist. In all, he compiled 1,298 anthologies and commissioned over 8,200 original short stories. He founded Tekno Books, a packager of more than 2000 published books. As well, he was a co-founder of the Sci-Fi Channel. Greenberg was also a terrorism and Middle East expert. He was a long-time friend, colleague and business partner of Isaac Asimov.

Fantasy, whether classic or contemporary, has always been based on the conflict between the forces of Light and Darkness. Insanity was just the beginning. His madness is legendary. Now some of the genre's most inventive authors bring readers into the Seelie Court, where all serve the Queen of Air and Light, and the Unseelie Court, where the forces of Darkness hold sway.

Completely revised, updated, and expanded-the ultimate book for Tom Clancy fans. Here, with Tom Clancy's cooperation and approval, is a fascinating, in-depth look at his powerful and influential work. This newly revised, updated, and expanded guide feat.

Fresh from the fertile minds of some of today's most imaginative writers comes a collection of short fiction that takes readers behind the scenes to unmask conspirators and their plots, some of which may even be true. Original.

This anthology contains classic story-telling at it's best. From Nancy Holder's vaguely troubling 'The Ladies Room', through Douglas Clegg's rattling good train journey in 'Only Connect'. But the one that stands out the most is Peter Crowther and Simon Conway's 'Dei Gratia'. As you turn each page, the shivers running up and down your spine become more pronounced as the story gathers pace to the inevitable conclusion that awaits us all! I know of Crowther's work through his excellent Narrow Houses anthology series, tons of short stories and his Escardy Gap novel. Conway is a new name to me, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for more of his work. EXCELLENT!
All of these stories are first-rate and work with a chilling effectiveness. The standouts for me were the stories by Braunbeck, Monteleone, and Piccirilli. Tom Piccirilli's "Thunder of the Captains" is my favorite though; it's a horrifying tale a conspiracy between heaven and hell that will leave you breathless with its execution and ramifications. A truly wonderful dark fantasy piece. Pick up the anthology, you won't be sorry you did.
Picked up this book and read it straight through! Great paranoia stories. best one is by Douglas Clegg, but all of them are FANTASTIC!
The book was recommended by a friend and what a recommendation it was....fascinating reading..from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book for a great read.
