The British lesbian author Naomi Jacob (1889-1964) had been a teacher, a suffragette, a playwright and an actress, but ultimately achieved her greatest success, beginning in the mid-1920s, as author of some 75 popular novels, plus women's magazine series, advice books and at least one biography.

Naomi Eleanor Clare Ellington Jacob (1 July 1884 – 27 August 1964), also known by the pen name Ellington Gray, was an English author, actress and broadcaster. Naomi Jacob was born in Ripon in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the first daughter of Samuel Jacob and Nina Collinson. He served as headmaster of the Ripon Grammar School, where Jacob's mother also work as teacher

His latest book, "In Passage Perilous", only confirms my opinion. In Passage Perilous: Malta and the Convoy Battles of June 1942 (Twentieth-Century Battles). It is a history for those of us who are naval enthusiasts as well as amateur and professionals historians and want details such as how many shells a particular ship fired in a particular engagement.
