Manon Rhys is the winner of the Montgomeryshire and the Marches National Eisteddfod Crown .

Manon Rhys is the winner of the Montgomeryshire and the Marches National Eisteddfod Crown, and she was honoured at a special ceremony on the Pavilion stage in Meifod today. The theme of this year’s competition was ‘Breuddwyd’ (Dream) and the task was to create a collection of poems, not in complete cynghanedd (strict metre) of up to 250 lines.

This work aims at presenting Kitchener Davies as a pioneering, versatile author whose literary output continues to be of value. The selection also contains two introductory essays - the first introduces the man and his work and the second is a semi-personal view of Davis by his daughter Manon Rhys.
