The sea-crossing was wretched too, and particularly for Robin. We will see your money first, Englishman, said a voice from the top of the steps. The holy book says: ‘Ye reap what ye sow’. The soldiers backed away instantly. I would not trust an Englishman as far as I could spit. Within the hour you shall hang by the neck like the common criminal you are. Not a man, not a woman, not a child in this company, nor in this world I think, will mourn your death.

The township of Robin Hoods Bay is a very quaint fishing village with good pub & eating facilities! Some very unique shops as well. Bay is a near unique jumble of houses and foot streets leading down to the sea. It has a magical atmosphere still though the old days of fishing and smuggling are long gone and the cottages now house many holidaymakers. Well worth a long explore of those old streets but they are often steep or have steps.
