Sex with the Ex. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS.

Sex with the Ex. Security, dressed in their trendy loose-fitting Armani suits and black T-shirts arrived almost immediately, although not in time to prevent our stray grabbing an It Girl’s famous D-cups and declaring loudly, Fuck, these are real! The girl concerned, Lady Tarmilla (who was rumored to have had a fling with both William and Harry), thankfully took the grope in good part and laughed as if the invasion of her personal space was a compliment she was delighted to have visited on her.

Richard and Martin had set off early to assist with setting up the fete. By ten-thirty, when Kitty and I arrived, the green was buzzing with local villagers and Aunt Camilla’s friends and family. Publisher: Red Dress Ink (October 1, 2005). This book by Tyne O'Connell is about a woman, named Lola who's convinced that she should get back together with her ex husband Richard after seeing him with a 'leggy blonde' one night. So she decides to pursue him and get him back, against the wishes of her friends and boss, Charlie. Without going into to much detail about this book, I have to say I wanted to slap Lola for being such an idiot for wanting Richard back.

I love this story a lot. It is intriguing and interesting. I get so involved into the story that sometimes I want to yell at the main lead to stop doing what she is doing. The main character, Lola Morton, does make some bad choices in this story that just makes me go crazy. Another book that I can relate to that also gives me this kind of feeling is You're Never Too Late: A Sweet And Special Romances Collection by Sandra Ross. I just wish that I can go inside the story and advise each of these girls for all the bad decisions they make.

Lola Morton is a successful publicist for Posh House, London's hottest club. She lives a perfect life. She has a great job, awesome friends, a luxurious apartment, and her boss Charlie, is one of the nicest people she knows. Despite all this success, there is still something missing in her life. That is love, something that she is not successful in. She still doesn't have that significant other and she feels like a part of her life is not complete.

However, during her latest cocktail party, she discovered three of her ex-boyfriends sitting together having a good time. She was surprised that they were all so happy without her. Then ideas began forming up inside her head. She thought what if she starts another relationship with one of them? Wait until which ex she would choose. You would be amazed because I think it's the worst decision of all. Will she regret her decision? You must buy this book to find out, you will be surprised!

Nevertheless, it is a great, romantic story about second chance love. Lola is an interesting and sympathetic character, but only some people will find her likable. I would relate Lola to Christa from You're Never Too Late because they both began to have interests in their ex's. And I felt that they were both wrong decisions, but somehow it all worked out in the end. I would recommend these stories to those that want a sweet, romantic story about second chance love.

Senior Events Manager and Public Relations Coordinator at Posh House Lola Morton enjoys her work until she sees three of her exes sitting around together. Richard was her spouse until two years ago; Hamish was her college lover; and Jeremy was her first love. After the shock wears off, she begins to wonder if she made a mistake and lost Mr. Right, but which one.

She decides that divorcing Richard was a mistake as he must be the one. Lola begins a campaign to bring him back in her life, but he is seeing someone else. Meanwhile her boss Charlie Orbington is disappointed in her behavior as he thinks the woman he has professionally admired is being a foolish, fickle little girl because she should accept that Richard has found somebody new. Though she hates disappointing Charles, Lola feels she's the one for Richard even if her pet bunny Jean hops away from him.

This is an intriguing chick lit romance starring a fully developed lead female protagonist who colors her past lovers in a positive hue while ignoring the downside including for instance why she and Richard divorced. The story line is fun to follow as Charles scorns what Lola does, but whatever she wants she plans to get, which this time is Richard. Outside of the sherbet solution, sub-genre fans will welcome Lola's zany efforts at second chance at love with ex marks the spot.

The writing and wit in this book is very entertaining, so if you want to read something that will hold your interest, by all means check out SEX WITH THE EX.

However, if you're looking for an intelligent character who doesn't have a fabulous wardrobe, killer job you'll never relate to, and a rabbit that humps everything around it, then look elsewhere.

The main character is a witch with a capital B. She cannot seem to figure out that her ex-husband is a coke-snorting dirt bag. Not only does she sympathize with him, but she wants him back. When he has another woman. And coke on him like a milk mustache. And no job.

To get him back for his coke habit she does something in the end that I thought was really immature and almost out of character. It was shocking and horrible, and I won't give it away, but for me the ending really ruined the book. I felt very strongly about Lola, her over-dramatic parents, and her boss who was really nicer to her than he should have been. O'Connell knows how to write characters you'd like to strangle or slap upside the head. She's got a great style, a fantastic sense of humor, but wow! Her characters can be nasty!

Without going into to much detail about this book, I have to say I wanted to slap Lola for being such an idiot for wanting Richard back. From what we find about about Richard, he seems like a royal coke-head jerk %$#@!%. I dont see why she wanted to be with him, but as they say 'love is blind'.

I've long since been intrigued by the exclusive London clubs I have read about in Vogue, Tatler and Harper's etc. In London they have privte clubs that cost a fortune to join and money can't even get you a membership. You have to b nominated by the in crowd. THis book blows that world open in a hilarious way with a wonderful set up of the heroine, who is the club's events manager, being faced by the three boyfriends of her past in the opening scene. O'Connell obviously knows her stuff and is very very funny and often insightful with her out there soh and rye remarks. Highly recommended.

Fabulous insiders view into the exclusive world of London's private members clubs. The internal struggle of one girl as she faces 3 ex boyfriends in a crowded room gets this one off to a flyer.

I'm a die hard O'Connell fan and this book is no exception - another 10 being held up by this judge!
I was only able to slog through about 100 pages before returning it to the library (thank god i didn't buy it!)...the writing was ok, but the characters weren't developed or maybe I just hated them....something was definitely missing.
