Pauline Glen Winslow (Author). The book is a classic cold war tale of Soviet expansion and domination. For those who lived through this time, this was not fantasy or idle fiction. As we now know from their own files, the Soviets were actively looking to conquer the world and spread authoritarian communism. I found this book to be poorly structured and plotted, with paper-thin characterization, too much reliance on coincidence, poor worldbuilding, and intrusive Britishisms that detracted from the realism of the supposedly-American dialogue.

Book was too tattered to read.

The Windsor Plot was suspenseful with a nice feel to it that everything will turn out well. A nice combination of history and fiction. It was a nice change from what I usually read, in that it didn't feel so heavy that it drug my mood down. I especially enjoyed the British and Scottish scenic and cultural descriptions.
