This book was a dazzling disappointment. It is poorly written and contains numerous errors, including some dates listed that are simply wrong. The organization of the chapters is poor, jumping from poorly covered topic to poorly covered topic. The style of the book is that of a 4th grade textbook. This book is really not worth the paper on which it is printed!

I've been reading this book to my 5-year-old son, who is fascinated by shipwrecks. Most of the shipwrecks are discussed in one or two pages, which makes it well-suited to the attention span of a child. This book is a pleasant and interesting read.
