The graphical approaches given in this book are a great way to learn the material and this is something that is sorely missing in other texts in this subject. However, this does not compensate for the fact that this book was poorly edited and contains numerous errors (present in both editions). I do not recommend this book to students or to interested professionals.

This is basically the worst book ever, but it was required for a class, so I bought it.
It's a paperback, which is a TERRIBLE design decision for a book of this weight and size. If you can possibly buy this in hardcover, it's worth any additional charge, believe me.
There is no solutions manual, and there are mistakes EVERYWHERE throughout this book.
Terrible terrible miserable awful depressing book.
At least I'm a senior, so I won't have to buy wretched required books like these any longer.

I am a ME student currently taking a kinematics and mechatronics class that uses this book. Reading this book has been an absolute chore and learning anything from it has been very difficult. Concepts are either very poorly explained or not explained at all. That's not, however, for lack of trying as most explanations are extremely wordy and overly pedantic. There are also no answers in the book, so there is no way of knowing if you're on the right track. The paperback construction is also woefully inadequate. I will be shocked if it survives the semester. Overall this book is massively frustrating and extremely disappointing.
This is the worst book I have ever had. It reads like a manual with little to no graphical representation. The pictures it does provide are either completely arbitrary or ill referenced. Wait to see if you will really need this book before you rent/buy it. If it is required rent it as cheaply as possible.
