Social learning theory (Bandura 1977), a leading theory of learning and development (Olson and Hergenhahn 2016) explains an individual's behaviour through the reciprocal interaction of personal factors, behaviour, and environment (Johnston 2016). This text is a text: it looks and reads like one, which limits its audience. It also struck me as partial, with a positivistic slant, and, even though originally published in 1976, oddly outdated. The index has no listing under Vygotsky, a major oversight, I would think in a text on learning, since today's journals, at least in the area of literacy, repeatedly refer to his ideas and influence.

Super awesome. It helps expand your mind and also really makes you think. Easy to read and keeps the different theorists apart.
