Book by Claremont, Chris. If you're a fan of the New Mutants or Chris Claremont's original run on the Uncanny X-Men, it's definitely worth your time to find a copy of this quality comic trade paperback.

Book by Claremont, Chris. The incredible art is a great strength: it meshes very well with Claremont's focus on characterization and use of magic and psychic abilities.

The New Mutants book. The z combination provides the perfect surreal touch to the Demon Bear Saga in which young Danielle Moonstar, a mutant who can cast images of opponents fears, must face her own greatest fears. Filled with suspense, interesting character interaction and dark dreamy art this story of the The New Mutants provides a frighteningly effective look into the components of a young mind trying to grow up.

Running from New Mutants (and collected in New Mutants/X-Force: Demon Bear), Demon Bear Saga  . The moody art matches perfectly with the horror aspects penned by Claremont

Running from New Mutants (and collected in New Mutants/X-Force: Demon Bear), Demon Bear Saga was an atmospheric, tightly wound story that tested the teamwork and trust of the teen team (and showcased the supreme talents of writer Chris Claremont and illustrator Bill Sienkiewicz). The moody art matches perfectly with the horror aspects penned by Claremont. For most of issues 18 and 19, the Demon Bear is more heard rather than seen, a whisper of shadow or a grumble promising violence in the dark. Building tension so that, when the demon is revealed, its impact is shocking.

we know little to nothing about demon bear, only that it will be the main villain of the movie with a plausible cameo of other villains for the . that I don’t know as i only read about the demon bear in the new mutants run. could be tho! 1 ответ 0 ретвитов 0 отметок Нравится.

One of the most iconic New Mutants comic villains is coming to the big screen - Here's everything you need to know about Demon Bear. First debuting in The New Mutants and as the main villain in the Demon Bear Saga from The New Mutants the Demon Bear is created after the parents of Danielle Moonstar are genetically mutated and enslaved into the being. The Demon Bear ends up haunting Moonstar's dreams. When she takes on Demon Bear face-to-face, she's left seriously injured.

With "The Demon Bear Saga," the series moved into more mature storytelling, and out of the shadow .

With "The Demon Bear Saga," the series moved into more mature storytelling, and out of the shadow of its parent title. Although Marvel Comics trumpeted the arrival of Sienkiewicz, and of the storyline, with a house ad bearing the headline, "Don't Call 'Em X-Babies Anymore!," it's safe to say few readers were truly prepared for "The New Mutants" After all, the series had been rather standard, and "safe," 1980s superhero fare until that point.

Note: The New Mutants: The Demon Bear Saga includes New Mutants which is not included here). Chris Claremont's storytelling in these issues is among his best. Better still, the artwork of Bill Sienkiewicz is stunning. Warlock is introduced to readers for the first time. Magik's mystical armor is introduced for the first time. Better still, the artwork of Bill Sienkiewicz is stunning

Other X-Men/New Mutants titles or collections you may want to read: "God Loves, Man Kills;" "X-Men: Asgardian Wars," which includes pivotal stories for the New Mutant characters; and the second and third Essential X-Men collections, which introduces Illyana Rasputin and the New Mutants to the X-Men.

This collects quite possibly my favorite set of comic books. I was lucky enough to read these stories as they were published. The art is extraordinary.
The stories are solid. The characters are engaging.
