A 27+ volume manga series - Vagabond is on Japan’s top ten best seller’s list with over 100 million volumes in print. Vagabond has sold over 22 million copies worldwide! (Not including Japan’s sales). Vagabond is based on the novel.

Vagabond, Vol. 9 book. This volume culminates what a swordsman Musash The 9th VizBig volume(vol 25,26,27) will conclude the Yoshioka Arc. Takehiko Inoue has more talent than any other graphic novel author I've ever read, hands down. Reading this series is like glimpsing into his very profound soul. Every panel is exquisitely drawn. Arguably the best arc so far,it continues from the previous volume where Musashi is up against the head of the Yoshioka,Denshichiro. And of course,Denshichiro lose.

Takehiko Inoue is the creator of one of the most popular manga of all time, Slam Dunk, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. Inoue is the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize and the Media Arts Festival Award.

Only 10 left in stock (more on the way). Volume 25 focuses on the duel between Musashi and Denshichiro, and while the end is never really in question, it is a moving tribute to the honor Denshichiro shows. He displays so much honor, in fact, it drives his loyal followers to foolishly challenge Musashi.

The Vizbig v.9 edition combines original volumes 25-27. Volume 25 focuses on the duel between Musashi and Denshichiro, and while the end is never really in question, it is a moving tribute to the honor Denshichiro shows. He displays so much honor, in fact, it drives his loyal followers to foolishly challenge Musashi. Matahachi and Musashi finally reunite, but Matahachi's jealousy ruins it, as usual. Volume 26 begins the famous encounter between Musashi and the 70 swordsmen of the Yoshioka school. I had assumed this section would be very confusing, but I should have known better - Takehiko Inoue's consummate skill clearly traces each step of the bloody battle, even while giving many of the individuals great character and humanity. In volume 27, tiring rapidly, Musashi faces down Ueda and Akemi. Although this is a very bloody episode in the story of Miyamoto Musashi, it also contains meditations on the waning role of the samurai in Japan -- truly a thinking-person's examination of the philosophy of violence.

Vagabond continues to be an excellent read. Sometimes the book moves off on a tangent away from the Main characters story to deepen and detail the incredible world and characters that move in and out of Musashi's Life. The artwork and story compliment each other and make each book something I continue to look back upon, to read again and keeps me wanting more! Vagabond, Vol. 1 (VIZBIG Edition)

Musashi vs the Yoshioka School will stand the test of time as the best samurai battle known to man.
It was fabulous. Definitely worth the extra month wait when they changed the release date. Great art work, wonderful story, gorgeous gore, and even more bloodshed from Mushashi. And you FINALLY find out what happens to the bumbling idiot. :) The suspense on that was killing me.
