First: This book is really awesome! If you are an artist or just love Adams' work then you will probably love this book.

Second: As my caption says, this is not an art book. I say that so that you do not expect a book of beautiful pencil drawing prints by Adams. The cover is the only complete pencil drawing you will see. This is a collection of preliminary and thumbnail sketches accompanied by Adams' commentary. The book contains both DC and Marvel sketches as well as figure drawing pieces. You get to read Adams' thoughts and reasons behind page layouts of some classic DC and Marvel issues and covers.

This book is well worth the money but it not what most would consider to be an art book. But nonetheless I highly recommend this book.

This is not only a great art book but an instructional guide as well. Any aspiring artist will learn how the Artist'sArtist does it. Even the pros can learn a thing or two about illustrating. Get this book and learn, but most of all ENJOY!!!!!!!

Bear in mind these are mostly rough sketches but still still showcase Neal Adams' incredible talent.

Dust jacket damaged! What do you guys do to these books before shipped? Book looks as if it was drugged across floor.

Personally I feel that it's great for artists and enthusiasts and helpful to see thumbnails and roughs etc. I also think its great that the book even exists. So 'A' for effort. However, the benefits are (arguably) outweighed by the fact most of the images look like they came from faxes or photocopies -which is fine if thats all that's available, but much of the book is comprosed of low quality jpg's, arbitrarily enlarged to the point of distracting pixelation. On cheap paper.
Still, Neal Adams' sketches.
