Roger Day. I have been writing books since 1985 Before I became a counsellor, I wrote a number of books for children and young . Help! I'm Growing Up: Child/Parent Guide to Sex and Puberty. I have been writing books since 1985. I specialised in children and families as well as creative counselling. Throughout that time my wife Christine and I ran training courses in creative therapy for other counsellors in the UK, Romania and Serbia. Before I became a counsellor, I wrote a number of books for children and young people. Some of the books I have written for adults are in other people's names because I acted as ghost writer. I hope you enjoy my books.

Puberty is the process of physical changes through which a child's body matures into an adult body capable of sexual reproduction. It is initiated by hormonal signals from the brain to the gonads: the ovaries in a girl, the testes in a boy. In response to the signals, the gonads produce hormones that stimulate libido and the growth, function, and transformation of the brain, bones, muscle, blood, skin, hair, breasts, and sex organs

Children also appreciate having certain days reserved for specific activities such as spending a Thursday afternoon with Dad in the library or to go swimming with Mum on Friday evenings. Try to involve the child in the planning. Some families find it very beneficial to have a 'round table' chat for about half an hour once a week.
