This book is truly a blessing, this is a 40 day journal from fasting from the world and getting full from Gods word. We are all called to die daily, take up our cross and follow Jesus

This book is truly a blessing, this is a 40 day journal from fasting from the world and getting full from Gods word. I am so grateful for this book, and the biblical wisdom this book holds. Each day you read a chapter and at the end of each chaper you are asked to pray, memorize scripture, and answer some questions you may want to ask yourself. We are all called to die daily, take up our cross and follow Jesus. This book will give you ways to look at your life, your thoughts and intentions to get rid of the old man and put on the new man. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone.

A book of 40 devotions combined with space for a personal journal. This was my second time using A Call to Die. It was both challenging and rewarding

A book of 40 devotions combined with space for a personal journal. This book examines some of the hard teachings of Christ, as well as God's disciplines for believers. It was both challenging and rewarding. Challenging to see the places where I still have room to dethrone self, and encouraging to see where Christ is standing up in my life, compared to the last time. Although the book (I beleive) is intended for a younger audience, it proved to be just right for an old timer of 59 something.

Through Biblical truth and personal stories, David Nassar takes you on a 40-day journey that will change your life (if you let it). This book has depth that a lot of devotionals lack. If we assume by God you mean the grand force behind the visible and invisible worlds then reading some book written by mortal souls has zilch effect on it; I am only comfortable re. .How do I meet God according to the holy book description? Will god answer if I don't read his holy book?

The 40-day holy season is one of transition when we turn our eyes away from fading disappointments and move ever closer to the radiance of Easter hope. This is the purpose of The Promise of Lent Devotional: to stir up the hope that God has given us in the midst of a fallen world.

Death. For many, the very mention of the word can conjure feelings of fear and uncertainty. In the Christian life, we are called to pursue a daily death as though our lives depend on it. The scripture

Wow! I typically read Christian classics like Spurgeon, A.W. Tozer, etc. etc. I have been so blessed by these readings, devotions, and challenges. David calls believers to leave a carnal Christianity and be the Christian JESUS calls us to be. I highly recommend this book to any believer who longs to grow closer to God and surrender all to God. Although he gears the writings to a younger generation, I am completely confident all ages will be blessed and exhorted. This is a GREAT book to give as a gift. A blessing and treasure bound to be a "classic" in years to come!

If you are really wanting to grow closer to God, this is the book for you. This book will make you take a long, hard, honest look at yourself, at your relationship with others and especially at your relationship with Jesus. We are all called to die daily, take up our cross and follow Jesus. This book will give you ways to look at your life, your thoughts and intentions to get rid of the old man and put on the new man. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone.

I love this book and the concept behind it. I have read a TON of books in the "Christian" and "self-help" realm, but this book is unlike anything I ever picked up. It almost forces you to do some soul searching in the spiritual sense and opens your mind to see how much better you could be living your life, what areas you need work on, and how scripture can guide you. Not "overly" Christian, any faith that believes Jesus is our Lord and Savior would get a lot out of this. The lessons each day are only 3-4 pages long and then you answer 5-10 questions. It takes between 20-30 minutes per day which is a small price to pay for what you get out of it. Get this book!

Hands down this is one of the best devotionals I've read. This book was recommended by one of my church members... the title took be back a bit but it's perfect! If you're looking for God to work in your life add this book to your "To Read" list and just thank me later.

Such an incredible and challenging book. Really encourages deep self examination while leading you to die to self and learn to feed your spirit.
Excellent book. It's not a speed read. It's best done as the
author proposes -- one chapter, lesson per day. The message
is not some theory that David Nasser got from a book. The
truth is alive because it comes directly out of his own life.
