After the storms... waiting for news... waiting for help to arrive...

Imagine trying to serve a community
torn apart by Super Storm Sandy
or shattered homes and hearts after
this last series of tornadoes...

For anyone struggling with the grief
of a Holy Saturday experience... and
is waiting for the stone to roll back...

I've sent copies to new moms and old moms
and moms to be... waiting and being a mom
is a way of life as any mom will tell you.

I've sent copies to folks in the military
who are waiting for that deployed beloved
to call or come home...

I've sent copies to pastors, mayors, even a
bishop!... looking for what to do when you
really can't do anything but wait for the
grace of God to make things bearable... and
you still have to show up at work the next day.

This is also a group read book... a support
group book read... a family book read...

It gives language to talk about the nearly
unspeakable.... Its a sign of God's Love
when wondering where God went...

I just received the book and have not had a chance to read it but the book quality is poor. Most of the pages on the left hand side have a white strip down the page.....so this would be the fault of the publisher?

I have used this book as a basis for group bible study on four different occasions. Each time it was very well received! Groups have ranged in ages from 20-30's to 70-80's. I highly recommend this study!

I used this book in developing an Advent retreat. What a great resource! The book is well written and insightful with discussion questions for each chapter along with a retreat plan. This would be a great book for small discussion groups.

This is one of the most comforting, motivating, and spiritually rewarding books I have read. It is full of meaningful stories and spiritual reassurances to help anyone going through troubled times that require patience and waiting. Life is full of so many situations where we lose
control and this book is a wonderful guide for those situations. I highly recommend it.

I have read this book twice and thinking serious about using it in a class. I believe if you do have a problem with waiting this is a must read. I also like this because it tells you how to use as a teaching book. Very good book.
