So, What Does God Really Think about Women? For far too long I had looked at women in the Bible through the wrong end of the telescope, making them appear far too small beside their male counterparts. Jesus Proved How Valuable Women Are. He taught in places where women would be present: on a hillside, along the streets, in the marketplace, by a river, beside a well, and in the women’s area of the temple. His longest recorded conversation in the entire New Testament was with a woman.

Jesus broke all the rules about women. Jesus called the woman with the crippled back to him in the synagogue to receive her healing (Luke 13:10-17). Every time Jesus encountered a woman, He broke one of the societal rules of his day. But Jesus came to change the rules. Jesus entrusted the most important message in all of history to Mary Magdalene and told her to go and tell that He had risen from the dead (John 20:11-18). Jesus was willing to risk His reputation to save theirs.

I grew up in the church and have been familiar with the biblical stories discussed in What God Really Thinks About Women from childhood, but this book offered me a fantastic new cultural and historical perspective that completely opened my eyes to so much I didn't even know I had overlooked. I feel more reassured about women's place in the church and the Lord's deep caring for and attention to women more than ever before. I highly recommend this book to both women and men.

Thank you so much for having this in Kindle format. I am a little more than half way through and so far I have enjoyed all that I have read. The author is obvioulsy blessed by hearing the voice of God. She gives a perspective to the stories of the women in the Bible and brings them to life. Where you would usually see the woman as a benign object in the story, this author shows how Jesus actually brought the woman front and center. I have learned things from this book, some history and some cultural, that I did not view as important in the past. I appreciate the author's insight and willingness to share.

Joyful, moving, inspirational. I want to share with all of my girlfriends. one of the many stereotypes society places on Christianity is that women are supressed, not understanding the freedom, love and peace we find through the love of our God. I'm so thankful the Lord worked through Sharon to write this, to help open my eyes, paint the setting of these real women and their faith in the Lord Jesus.

Great book with in depth study of women who impacted Jesus. I have been studying the Bible for years but each study of the various women in Jesus' life by Sharon Jaynes helped me to see each woman/event in a different more penetrating light. Was very eye-opening and encouraging to my Christian faith.
