What a terrific coffee table book. It is a fantastic size (10.1 x 1.9 x 13.6 inches) and the quality is great. Love all the photos - some of which bring back a lot of memories. I've had fun turning the pages with my 18 year old daughter and talking about LA as it was.......back when.

I bought this book for my son 'n law, who is a major history buff. He had seen it while travelling in California and put it on his "wish" list. It is fabulous! The pictures are amazing, but it also has written history, making it an excellent source for both the picture lover who does not have a lot of time to read, and the historian. He is thrilled with it.

A little pricey, but well worth it. Nicely made.
I grew up in L.A. and I thought I had seen most of the interesting pictures of L.A., but this book showed me much that I had not seen. Fantastic pictures and maps accompanied with well written illuminating text
