I knew I'd love this book, but there were two things about it that really surprised me.

1. The postcards are *thick*--stiff-cardboard thick; very substantial. You could practically use them as unframed art, they're so solid.

2. There are two of some (possibly all) of the cards, so you could send a card to someone and still have the other for yourself.

This is a very nicely produced book, and in no way a cheaply thrown together afterthought from the book that inspired it.

It's fun to see all this technology that was once "cutting edge" but has long been surpassed by pocket-sized (and smaller!) equipment. A number of the items are mislabeled, though - I dropped a note to the publisher, which they acknowledged, but since they don't expect another print run it won't get updated.
