Aaron Sorkin serves as creator, writer, and executive producer on The West Wing. I was so happy when the script book finally came out. Even though it only contains six scripts of Aaron Sorkin's incredible writing, it's much better than nothing at all. I found this to be just like watching the episode in my head. I guess the only thing I wish is that there were more scripts in it! Other than that, it is great.

Loved, LOVED The West Wing (the Sorkin years). Besides being smart entertainment, it really helped me hold on to my political idealism through the soul-destroying Bush administration. Aaron Sorkin is my god. "Two Cathedrals" just gives me chills. You can tell how much his writing drove the show - even in this bare bones form, the personalities and the action come blazing through. While I don't generally condone recreational drug use, if that's what Sorkin needs to write like this, I say let him Loved, LOVED The West Wing (the Sorkin years).

This quote from Sorkin's earlier, wonderful TV venture "Sports Night" appears in the introduction to this book of teleplays from the best show in the history of TV.

Strictly scripts as advertised. Was fun reading them but would have enjoyed some side bars also.

This was a gift for my son, the Aaron Sorkin extreme fan. He wants to be a writer following in Sorkin's footsteps, so he read it cover to cover. Exactly what I hoped.

Aaron Sorkin's wirting for the first four seasons of this show was amazing. These scripts are proof of that. The teleplays transfer so well to the screen. I was shocked to see that the scripts he wrote were almost word for word what ended up on screen. The witty, fast-paced dialogue is great. Any fan of the show, or anyone looking to be a writer should check this out!
