While there are three pages of introductory notes covering each piece's composer and form, with abundant performance suggestions, if you are looking for some Argentine tangos when you order this slim (79-page) collection, you are out of luck. The composers (and number of pieces of each) represented are Spanish (Isaac Albéniz--2 & Joaquín Turina--1), Brazilian (Ernesto Nazareth--10), Cuban (Ignacio Cervantes--3), Mexican (Manuel Ponce--1) , Puerto Rican (Juan Morel Campos--1), and American (Scott Joplin--1 & Maurice Hinson--1). The quality of the compilation would have been improved by the omission of the elementary-level piece by Hinson, the compiler. Notably missing is any work by a composer from the land of the tango.

This publishing company is a favorite! I found many pieces enjoyable to play and have been very satisfied with this purchase. The pieces in this book although different, have a similar style to some extent of Nazareth, but even so I found many selected pieces to my liking in this book. Definitely a good addition to my music library.
