Dezo Hoffmann (Photographer). Dezo Hoffman was the first professional to photograph the Beatles

Dezo Hoffmann (Photographer). Dezo Hoffman was the first professional to photograph the Beatles. These photographs are from the time before their first record through all the years of the "Fab Four" and "Beatlemamia", from someone who became their friend and advisor. I love having this book and the "Remember" book by Michael McCartney, Paul's brother. Between the two, you really get an insight into what was happening with them, and in the world of music, and what a transformation they were about to initiate in the world of music.

With The Beatles book. A stunning book if you can still find it. Dezo Hoffman was THE photographer in the early 60"s who photographed every pop start of the so-called Swinging Sixties

The Beatles photographed by Dezo Hoffmann at Forthlin Road, 25 March . Leap frog with the Beatles.

The Beatles photographed by Dezo Hoffmann at Forthlin Road, 25 March 1963. Beatles fans outside the Royal Albert Hall, London, 18 April Photo by Robert Freeman. Backstage at the Liverpool Empire, 24 March 1963. Dezo Hoffmann’s famous jump picture, taken at the Allerton Golf Course in Liverpool, 25 March 1963. Dezo Hoffmann: I had the idea of hiring bathing suits, old fashioned swimming costumes etc. They loved dressing up in silly costumes, John kept his on back at the hotel long after the session was over.

One gets the sense in the later pictures that The Beatles had tired of the contrived goofing around poses. However, the early photos are great fun and Dezo includes some interesting anecdotes about the band as they rose to the height of fame. 1 Kg. Seller Inventory 118029. Photographed by. Dezo Hoffmann. I really enjoyed this book. I am a big Beatles fan, and the book had many unpublished photos of the group in the early days.

Photographed by. The B&W photos were exceptional. A must have for all beatles lovers and collectors.

In 1962, when Dezider Dezo Hoffmann (1912-1986) was a photographer with the music newspaper Record Mirror, he received a letter about a relatively unknown band based in. .That band, of course, was The Beatles.

In 1962, when Dezider Dezo Hoffmann (1912-1986) was a photographer with the music newspaper Record Mirror, he received a letter about a relatively unknown band based in Liverpool. After that initial meeting, Dezo knew he’d found something special. Soon, he became the group’s first professional photographer. In addition to playing a pivotal role in the Fab Four’s rise to stardom, Dezo had a front row seat to one of the most important movements in music. And it wasn’t the only time he documented pop culture history in the making, either.

A timeless record of the Fab Four at the height of Beatlemania, as captured by the lens of master photographer Dezo Hoffman.

Being a Beatles fan since 1964 as well as owning four Hofner basses and playing in many Beatle groups since 1965, I love this book.
Lots of great pictures as well as all the history of the group that changed musical history forever that will never be duplicated.
This is one book I had to add to my collection.
A must to own.

Dezo Hoffman took the first professional photos ever taken of The Beatles, showing a young George Harrison with a black eye. He'd been in a fight the night before with a Liverpudlian Pete Best fan, angered over the drummer being replaced by Ringo Starr. These are all black & white photos mainly spanning the years of 1962-1966. One gets the sense in the later pictures that The Beatles had tired of the contrived goofing around poses. However, the early photos are great fun and Dezo includes some interesting anecdotes about the band as they rose to the height of fame.

This book is a treasure chest of professional photographs and anecdotes. This book has something for everyone, from the inveterate Beatles' fan to people who are becoming familiar with them. This book is indeed a masterpiece that will long register in the minds of those who read it.

This is a really fun, interesting book to own if you are a Beatles fan! Even if you weren't a fan, you find out why there was such a change in music after the Beatles came to America, and the rest of the world. There are many books out there about the genius of each one in their writing, producing, and playing, but this gives you that behind the scenes look at four boys who had no idea that they were about to change the world!

This book is a collection of very early pictures of the Beatles, some of which we have seen on promotional material. In my opinion several of those pictures are the Beatles' best. It is also very interesting to read Dezo's comments as to where and when the pictures were taken. He was their first official photographer. Great memories, great book!
if you are a Beatles fan you must see it, and return in a paper time machine to the beginning of the most fantastic line of the music story.
