I love opera, and I love crossword puzzles, so this seemd like a natural for me. And it was! The puzzles were fun, reasonably difficult, and educational. It would be a great gift for anyone who loves either opera or CWPs, or both.

I have this to an opera buff friend who finished the whole thing in an alarmingly short time. Might be good as a teaching tool or to pique interest in opera for someone less knowledgeable

More current than the "Opera Journeys Crossword" but not much of a challenge for a died in the wool opera buff.

If you're an opera lover, this is one of the more entertaining bits of ephemera you'll find: 40 crossword puzzles with an opera focus. The opera clues are not terribly difficult, so you don't have to be an opera expert to enjoy them.
Puchock
a little easy but fun
This is a frustrating little book if you are an opera buff. The opera clues are too easy; the regular clues are often silly, and there were some words I had never even heard of. Since it's an opera crossword book, I assumed all of the clues would be about opera. Nope. Singer McIntyre is not "John," the operatic bass. It is "Reba," the country-western singer. There's also a clue about Dolly Parton, as well as TV actors.

I considered a lot of the abbreviations to be unfair. I was glad when I finished the final puzzle because that meant I would never have to deal with any more of them again.
