Of all the Gallery Girls collections, perhaps the most popular is the sea-going sirens of the Seven Seas - Mermaids! Seems they're NOT just for lonely sailors anymore! For centuries, these mystical she-creatures have made those long ocean-going voyages worth the effort! In our fourth installment of such saltly goodness, we've enlisted the aquatic artworks of such expert fisherfolk as Pelaez, Arantza, DelRivero, Colucci, Meriggi, and a boat-load of others! Just wait a half-hour after eating before plunging into this book - we don't want you cramping up! Cover painting by Pelaez.

I purchased this book in search for designs to be used for a personal tattoo. while going through the
book I found multiple designs which with a little work worked perfectly. After presentation and consultation with my local artist I now have one permanently on my right shoulder blade. You could say, "she watches my back". I highly recommend this resource for adult readers and Mermaid collectors.

OK mermaid art from various artists. I would prefer that the art be in color. Not bad though for people that are into mermaids.

SQP has just released Mermaids Vol. 4, the latest in the Gallery Girls series featuring art by some of the top glamour and pin-up artists in the business today. Once again the subject is those mysterious creatures of the sea that conjure up tales of whimsy and lust. You can bet there is a LOT of lust with the extraordinary talents of this group of artists. The roll call this time around includes Pedro Cuevas, Diego Florio, Rich Larson, Aldo Perez, German Ponce, Danilio Guida, and the great Pelaez, who provided the enticing cover to this edition.

As always, the art styles and subject matter are very eclectic...from the humorous to the enchanting, from an almost renaissance style to modern glamour, you find it all within these pages. Among the humorous entries is Perla Perlucki's piece showing two mermaids, dress in jockey outfits, racing a pair of seahorses neck and neck. Pelaez provides the most infinitely detailed piece, a gorgeous piece of classical illustration as tow of the lovely sea creatures share an intimate embrace in the ocean's depths.

Aldo Perez, a newcomer to the Gallery Girls books has a fantastic piece showing a mournful mermaid caught in a fisherman's net, her eyes begging the viewer to rescue her...Danilo Guida gives us a dramatic illustration of a dorsal fin headed woman riding a giant snapping turtle into battle. J.L. Czerniawski provides another humorous moment showing the shocked looked on the face of a man snorkeling that has just encountered a pair of our delightful feature subjects.

Mermaids Vol. 4 is another welcome edition to this always-tantalizing series. 64 pages, black & white interiors with color covers.
