Today's City Houses Hardcover – 1 Nov 2004. As broad as the range of houses that are featured in this book, so too are the conditions of each cityscape that it is built on. It is interesting how the term "city houses" evokes an image of a dwelling squeezed into a dense urban plot, but that is not always the case. Some houses in cities such as San Francisco or Vienna seem to enjoy a space that is only possible in a suburban context.
