DEAD-SHOT
My favorite book on the Cape Cod house! (and I have a lot of them!). The author includes drawings and plans from the Historic American Building Survey that were done during the depression and shows current photographs of the same house. It is wonderful to see the changes (and in many cases - no changes) from earlier photos/drawings. Best of all, this book includes a plethora of interior photos as well. It covers the origins of the Cape Cod style house from its humble beginnings in England to the areas of Cape Cod. I specialize in selling historic real estate on Cape Cod and this book is pure eye candy with wonderful information.

Mr Richmonds book , THE EVOLUTION OF THE CAPE COD HOUSE, An Architectual History is wonderful!
Especially so, if you are a Architectual Art History buff such as I . Never would i have thought so much rich content between it's pages. I have my eye on one of these old bits of history. It is a circa 1750 home. God willing ,I will have the opportunity to restore life to her rich past. Thank you Mr Richmond.

I live in a 1790 cape, collect books concerning capes, photograph capes and this is the best resource I've purchased to advance my knowledge of these delightful, beautiful and historical architectural masterpieces. Arthurs research, photography and enthusiasm for the subject is wonderful.
